Last night we had a crazy storm. The lightning was in the distance at bedtime; we thought it was heat lightning. Then, around 1am it became clear that the increasing frequency and velocity of the lightning and thunder that this storm was serious. I was awakened by a dream – Sam and Charlie were yelling at me in my tent – waving their flashlights in the tent. When I awoke and didn’t see anyone around, it became clear that the lightning had been the “flashlight”. Another look revealed others scrurrying around, so I ran out to help cover the freshly poured concrete. The lightning lit the process.
The day went by fast – lunch was amazing – we are so spoiled here! Surprise brownies for the birthday girl- Jocelyn. Yesterday was Andrew’s birthday – surprise cake!
